Cicero's Notebook

You can bet, if Cicero had a notebook, it would have been this one. And yes, he would most certainly have kept it safe in his subligaculum drawer.

Filing to front (you got to find the crucial evidence when you need it); notepapers in centre; back pocket contains fake Latin (probably code), plus secret holding place for stashing your emergency wax tablet.

Such puzzling books

The best books are those that we keep returning to, in our minds, for years afterwards. As if they hold - by accident or design - some answers to the problems we face.

Is it fanciful to wonder, whether those books contain a way forward? A pointer to the journey ahead?

Or perhaps they hold no clues at all. They just set us thinking.

Then, maybe, the only answer that makes any sense, is the one you provide.
